Fluid Selected by Timberland for Interactive Product Personalization

Leading Retailer Chooses Fluid for its Creative Leadership and Technical Expertise

San Francisco, CA - April 16th - Fluid, Inc., a leading provider of innovative e-commerce and rich internet technology solutions, today announced a major customer win for its e-commerce practice. The Timberland Company, a global leader in premium quality footwear, accessories and apparel, selected Fluid to enhance the user experience of their existing custom boot configurator. The selection was based upon Fluid's track record for developing compelling, richly interactive online retail experiences as well as the company's close partnership with NuSewCo, a leader in mass customized consumer products. This latest high-profile customer win, on the heels of wins with The Body Shop, Design Within Reach, and JanSport, is an indication of the growing momentum around Fluid's e-commerce practice.

The Timberland project is to design and develop a custom product configurator that integrates seamlessly with Timberland's e-commerce platform provider GSI Commerce. The resulting 'rich Internet application' will deliver the consumer an entertaining and effortless way to personalize their purchase and receive customized cross-sell recommendations, all wrapped in a brand relevant experience that is uniquely Timberland.
