Fluid Director of Usability Receives Golden Gate University Outstanding Faculty Award

San Francisco, CA., Sept. 20, 2004 - David M. Hogue, Ph.D., Director of Information Design and Usability at Fluid, Inc. in San Francisco was recently awarded the Outstanding Faculty of the Year in Psychology Award at Golden Gate University where he teaches Applied Industrial Psychology in their graduate program. He is now entering his fifth year of teaching at Golden Gate University. David also teaches an interdisciplinary seminar on Information Design and Applied Cognitive Science at the University of San Francisco, and he was recently appointed to the adjunct faculty at San Francisco State University where he teaches Information Design in the Multimedia Studies Program.

In addition to his teaching and lecturing activities, David has also been selected as a professional mentor in information architecture by the Asilomar Institute for Information Architecture ( http://www.aifia.org/ ) in their recently launched mentorship program. Individuals who are new to the information architecture field are paired with practicing professionals to help them develop stronger skills, provide feedback and suggestions on their work, help with educational resources, and provide career guidance.
