3 Takeaways from PSFK’s Future of Retail Conference

Yesterday several of us at Fluid attended PSFK’s Future of Retail conference at Fort Mason. The presentations were short, sweet, and there were delicious scones, which made for a refreshingly not boring conference. 3 things that stood out to me:
1. PRETTY MAPS OF SAN FRANCISCO OMG

Uber’s data evangelist blew our minds. Check out his map that uses Uber rider data to show the flow between neighborhoods in SF. Similarly, Foursquare shared these gorgeous maps that show the cycle of check-ins from food to shopping to nightlife spots (and back to food) in a bunch of different cities. Apparently all cities partake in the universal practice of drunk eating.
